As an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Go Badgers!), I was actively involved in athletics as a member of the women's ice hockey team and as a volunteer with the Adaptive Sports and Fitness program. I later completed graduate studies at Columbia University and Harvard University in Applied Linguistics and Adult Language and Literacy Education with an emphasis in community health education.
After teaching for 10 years in the schools and with adult community centers in the NY/NJ and Boston metro area, I took premed courses at night and life brought me to the University of Vermont. While a full-time doctoral student of physical therapy, I worked as a learning specialist and academic coach with students at the Larner College of Medicine at UVM and Champlain College through the Stern Center for Language and Learning. I completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2010.
I have since completed post-graduate training in manual therapy, osteoporosis management, 3D scoliosis management, functional nutrition for chronic pain, and sports rehabilitation. I am a board certified clinical specialist in geriatric physical therapy and I am a Fellow of Applied Functional Science. I am trained in the Rigo Method of 3D Scoliosis Management with Barcelona Scoliosis Physical Therapy School. My goal is to educate and inspire patients to be curious about human movement to best manage their health and wellness.
In my free time, I enjoy backcountry skiing, cycling, hiking and spending time with family.

From the time I was a young girl, I knew I wanted to either be an athlete or work with them for my career. I played D1 field hockey and basketball at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT. I earned spots on both the NFHCA Regional All-American and NCAA All-Academic teams my senior year. While working towards my doctorate in physical therapy at Sacred Heart, I served two years as an assistant coach for my former field hockey team. Go Pioneers!
I started my career at Akron Children’s Hospital Sports Medicine Center. For three years I worked closely with sports medicine doctors, nurses, and pediatric surgeons with a primary focus on return to sport. It was this experience that kindled my interest in adolescent sports medicine. Over the past 16 years, I have broadened my experience in orthopedics and sports throughout the United States to include opportunities in Alaska, Washington, Tennessee, and Massachusetts, before returning to my roots in northern New England.
I continue to strive to further my practice and education in treating developing athletes.
I am a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy. I am also a Fellow of Applied Functional Science. My goal is not only to rehabilitate an athlete from an injury/surgery, but to strengthen their overall performance in their sport and training.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my family and my pups. Most likely you will find me hiking, snowboarding, attempting to play indoor FH, biking, growing my veggie garden, or just simply walking the dogs!
